Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We examined whether punch movement has an effect on likability of person. On each trial, participants were presented with photograph of person's face, and were instructed to either punch a punching ball or place their hands on the table depending on types of cue. Results indicated that likability of punch condition was lower than that of control condition. Based on Grounded/Embodied cognition framework, we suggest that negative representations activated by punching associate with the presented people, and it therefore reduced likability for them.
