| Abstract(in English) | This paper describes an IC card-based attendance management system with Web camera for university lectures and other evidence-based presence confirmation. IC card is a FeliCa-based student ID card and its maintains several kinds of information including name, student ID number and so on. A proposed system can obtain not only some necessary information from IC card but also image from Web camera together with time-stamping at the identification. And then it generates a scheme of database for attendant persons with user ID, name, student ID number, camera image and time stamp. Such database will be processed into HTML-based document and shared with the relevant teacher and his/her students by means of Web service facility. With our attendance management system, teachers as well as students can perform a realtime confirmation of attendance and recognize whether shared documents for attendance are correct or not simultaneously. The paper also discuss how to implement our system according to its software and how to treat privacy of the relevant students whose information for attendance confirmation is accumulated on the temporary database in our attendance management system. |
