Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The present study investigated whether humans treat an android robot as a human-like interactive agent by using a repeated non-zero-sum game. Participants were asked to play a weighted version of repeated rock-paper-scissors in which participants are allowed to both cooperate with an opponent and exploit an opponent. We compared three types of opponents: android, PC and human. The experimental results indicated that although participants tend to cooperate with a human opponent, they exploited the android and PC opponents. An additional experiment revealed that participants exploit an opponent when the opponent is a human experimenter, indicating that human-likeness of android is impaired because the monetary value is not shared by an android and humans.
