Abstract(in English) | The 45-degree linearly-polarized plate-laminated waveguide slot array antenna has achieved 9.6% gain bandwidth more than 32.0 dBi in the 60-GHz band. In this paper, the radiating part is designed by GA for wider bandwidth. We propose a new configuration, cavity-backed slot-pair as a new radiation element for cross polarization suppression. The design realized 25.7% bandwidth for VSWR less than 1.5 by lower Q of two eigenmodes and appropriate arrangement of resonance frequencies. 16×16-element array was composed of the designed radiation part and the conventional feeding part. The result showed 90.0% antenna efficiency and 23.6% gain bandwidth more than 32.0 dBi and 70% antenna efficiency. |
