Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-user MIMO system using precoding requires precise control of transmit signals in order to suppress inter-user interference. Therefore, precise synchronization of timing and carrier frequency offset compensation are required between a base station and mobile stations. For multi-user MIMO transmission experiments, this paper present timing synchronization and frequency offset compensation scheme based on received signals in each mobile station. In the frequency offset compensation scheme, the result of timing synchronization is used and it is not necessary to calculate phase difference. The result of frequency offset estimation using this scheme is not be affected directly by phase noise. The performance of this scheme is evaluated by computer simulations. In-lab transmission experiments are carried out using a fading emulator and the BER performance is given.
