Abstract(in English) Fan-in/fan-out device for splicing to dual-ring-structured 12-core multi-core fiber (MCF) is fabricated. Maximum loss of 4.7 dB at C-band and worst crosstalk of -45 dB at 1550 nm are confirmed in fan-in-20 m-long MCF-fan-out configuration. Splice loss difference due to core misalignment difference between inner core and outer core is estimated 0.4 dB/point.
