Standardization of Home Network with HEMS

Abstract(in English) There are some committees working on Smart House technologies in Japan. JSCA Smart House Standards Study Group is one of them, and it reported the standardized interface between the HEMS and the home appliances. By the Study Group reports, ECHONET Lite protocol should be used as an application protocol of the Home Network, and Ethernet, PLC Wireless LAN of 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz, or 920MHz specified low power radio should be used as the transmission medium of Home Network with HEMS. Some committees also developed the operational guidelines and the standard specifications for Home Network with HEMS. In this paper, we introduce these standardization activities of the Home Network with the HEMS.
