Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | This paper uses simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of our current proposed method for collecting immobilized persons' SOS messages. We have been studying SOSCast, a smartphone application which enables the collection of SOS messages from immobilized persons and delivers them to rescuers in an area with disrupted communication services. In [5] ~ [7], we proposed an information-sharing method between immobilized persons considering the reduction of battery consumption. However, the papers do not focus on evaluating cases in which there are many immobilized persons. Therefore, in this paper, we evaluate the time for sharing information, the number of communications, and battery consumption in that situation by using the Scenargie simulator. The results showed that in order to significantly reduce battery consumption, we need another approach in addition to the current method. |
