| Abstract(in English) | The demand for video delivery services over communication networks has been rapidly increasing. Quality design before the start of services and quality monitoring and management during the provision of services are important for service providers so they can provide a high-quality service. Techniques for realizing them include subjective and objective assessment methods that quantify video quality that the users perceive (QoE: Quality of Experience). The ITU has standardized some subjective and objective methods for assessing video and speech quality, and the Video Quality Experts Group (VQEG) investigates and validates the objective video quality assessment methods for standardization. We present here an overview of VQEG and explain the Group's latest trends. |
