Network-based Fast Handover for Mobile Receiver in CCN

Abstract(in English) The Information-Centric Networking (ICN) concept was proposed to fulfill the scalability and efficiency requirements of the content-centric Internet in the near future. Among the multiple ICN proposals, the Content-Centric Networking (CCN) is one of the most important and typical representatives. The CCN adopts the hierarchical name to identify the content and then the on-path caching can be deployed to improve the content retrieval efficiency. However, with development of the mobile Internet, how to extend CCN in the mobile environment to support the efficient and scalable mobility management is vital for its actual deployment in the future. In this paper, we propose a network-based fast handover scheme for the mobile receiver in CCN. The proposed scheme inherits the distributed feature of the CCN and guarantees its scalability in the mobile Internet. Besides, this is a general solution to support the mobility management in CCN and can also be easily extended to support the source mobility with the same basic principle.
