Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In management and operation of TCP/IP network (Internet), the network measurement technology has been progressing constantly to cope with its scale, diversity, and decentralized administration. The author has been enjoying the diversity of its R&D for a decade from the aspect of inverse problem, with the trend from parts to the whole; from monitoring/diagnosis to healing/prevention. In this report, the author would try to convey the fun of network measurement techniques mainly in active measurement such as network time synchronization, network tomography, and user collaborative monitoring. Finally, future direction and challenge are discussed by considering recent evolution of SDN and BigData technologies.
