Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recent broadband applications create elephant flows and the flows cause congestions in network. In order to avoid the congestions, it is required to utilize multi paths to destinations considering the impact of out-of-order packet delivery on applications. Our OIF router identifies the order sensitivity for each packet and forwards order insensitive flows' packets to less congested redundant paths during congestion. We designed and implemented the OIF router that has four functions, flow identification, packet forwarding, congestion detection, and loop avoidance. And, the evaluation shows better throughput and network utilization compared with conventional routers.
