Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The aim of this study is to clarify the acoustic features included in the various emotional voices. The findings of this study lead to support the people who have an interest in acting. In order to clarify the acoustic features of emotional voices, intonation of some delighted and horrified voices are investigated. The intonation of delighted voices is stronger than that of ordinary voices. Moreover, the pitch of delighted voices is higher than that of ordinary voices. Horrified voices contain some long pauses and stammer in addition to the characteristics of delighted voices. Based on these findings, subjective evaluations are carried out using synthesized voices. As a result, both to change the pitch of voice and to add the intonation of delighted voice affect the transmission of delighted emotion. To change the pitch of voice affects the transmission of horrified emotion.
