Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reveals the system throughput improvement on CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) based wireless multihop system prototype, which is implemented Wireless Network Coding (WNC) and Frame Aggregation (FA), by timeout optimization through an outdoor experiment. In the developed prototype, FA can be executed at the terminal nodes or the relay node and timeout function is implemented for WNC and FA, respectively. WNC and FA timer is respectively available when FA is executed at the terminal nodes, whereas at the relay node, WNC timer jointly performs for WNC and FA. Our experimental results show that by optimizing timeout value, WNC and FA at the terminal node can improve system throughput 2.04-fold compared to a conventional multihop relaying without WNC or FA.
