Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Large-grained polycrystalline Ge (poly-Ge) thin films on conducting layers on glass substrates are essential for developing inexpensive high-efficiency tandem solar cells. In this study, we investigated the Al-induced crystallization (AIC) of a-Ge on conducting layers and the inverted-AIC process providing a self-organizing Al backside-electrode. We compared these techniques and from the perspective of the grain size and the crystal orientation of the grown Ge layers.
