Abstract(in English) | In microwave wireless power transmission, it is needed to detect a device that should be powered and direct power transmission beam to it. In this paper, a tracking and power transmission system for microwave wireless power transmission to a micro aerial vehicle (MAV) was developed. The power transmission system was formed with 8-element active phased array, and software retro directive was adopted for the tracking system. Both systems are controlled by microprocessor. Although this power transmission array antenna has only 8 elements, it has the specification suitable for wireless power transmission to MAV (error of beam direction: 1.12deg, lowering of power density by beam steering: 18%). In addition to that, estimation of the performance on the whole. As these are integrated into the whole, the power transmission efficiency is expected to be 1.6%. |
