Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We configure and demonstrate broadband signal generation at 90-GHz band using optical modulation technologies. The frequency up-chirp signal is applicable for millimeter-wave radar system. Observed degradation of a phase noise is followed by a theoretical estimated value, so the optical frequency quadrupler based on the optical modulation realizes a broadband frequency quadrupler with capability of millimeter-wave signal with resulting frequency-sweep speed of 35 PHz/s. The quadrupler is capable for high precision radar system at the millimeter-wave band.
