Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In wireless multi-hop networks, content download traffic from the content server located outside a wireless network is transmitted through the gateway node(GW). Not only content query traffic but also download traffic is transmitted through GW, which causes throughput degradation of a whole wireless network. One promising approach for this technical problem is cache network where all nodes have cache for content file. And Breadcrumbs(BC), in-network guidance method for content query, which can resolve default-path limitation of cache hit, is also another promising approach. In this paper, we evaluate these cache network approaches in wireless multi-hop network environment. Our performance evaluation results reveal that BC significantly improves total throughput. And throughput for not only high popular content but also even medium or low popular content is improved by BC.
