Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, ad hoc networks composed only of mobile wireless terminals (nodes) attract attention in proportion as a development of wireless technology. In ad hoc networks, communication with nodes that cannot be directly connected is available by using multi-hop transmissions in which each node sequentially relays data. Routing protocols such as AODV(ad-hoc on-demand distance vector) construct routes before data communication begins, and then data packets are transmitted along the routes. When a link on the data transmission route becomes unavailable, delay occurs due to restructuring an alternative route. This paper proposes a packet forwarding method using route neighbour nodes to improve packet transmission efficiency by opportunistic forwarding. The proposed method achieves an improvement of the connection probability and decreases the end-to-end delay.
