Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, a number of safety assistant systems for automobiles have been proposed. However, these systems seem to either support the system holder. On the other hand, our research focuses on a new safety assistant system, by which drivers conduct warn-providing to a third person, based on the notion of "Mutual Assistance". In this paper, we conduct experiments for evaluating a warn-providing system. The experiments are done with a driving simulator. The experiment data for assister drivers are success rate of warning, mental workload and attitude change of manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic warning systems. The results show that, automatic warning has a statistically higher success rate and lower for mental workload. On the other hand, semi-automatic or manual warning brought out significant change in positive attitude.
