Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a foreign language conversation learning based on Direct Method by robot teachers as aplications for pattern recognition. Direct Method is a kind of foreign language learning methods, without using native language, high recognitions is not needed for teacher robots, since students(human beings) try to understand teachers (robots) in the direct method. In this report, we verified that the small robots can teach the students some words in the experiments with some scenarios, even through the robots have listening and speaking system and only crawler for movement and bubblehead camera for indicating viewline.
