Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The rough shape of the probability distribution of the moving local fractal dimension, LFD, on the uniform or standard-normal random process has been found by using a computer simulation. They belong to almost the same normal distribution, and the mean and standard deviation take almost the same values respectively. In this paper, these results have been applied to the general quality control, of course, including communication quality. That is, it is possible to control plural moving LFDs at the same time with the original quality time series, when the lower control limit, LCL, and the upper control limit, UCL, are pre-determined with the significant level of 5% based on the theoretical probability of normal distribution. An abnormal situation can thus be tested by using the control lines of LCL and UCL in the control charts. Also, it was shown mathematically that some numerical conversions do not affect moving LFDs at all. Thus, the next steps to obtain LFDs can be advanced without the so-called standardized conversion.
