Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a classification method for the direction based on flicker stimulus in order to develop a Brain Computer Interface (BCI) system. Because the conventional frequency method may be affected by the influence of noise and background activity on a component of Electroencephalogram: EEG, so there might be difficult to predict how the wheelchair user move. We conducted our research using the Fractal Dimension approach focusing on a variation of EEG, complementing a FFT analysis. The proposed method resulted in a classification accuracy rate of 90% from 2 subjects. This result shows the validity of the proposed method for developing BCI.
