Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Because of the grant system lag, the allowance rate of a myoelectric prosthesises for some upper limb amputees has been low. Consequently, it prevents their independence in the daily life. Therefore, authors suggested biometric technology that uses skin surface deformations of amputated upper limbs. In this technology, an input device containing a strain sensor is pasted on the forearm and reads skin surface deformations caused by forearm twist motion to gain an input signal. In this study, skin surface deformations caused by forearm twist motion are dimensionaly analyzed and quantified for the purpose of optimization of pasting position of this input device containing a strain sensor.
