Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Studies are increasing that analyze ambient environments by sensing bicycle movements using smart phones. We propose a system that shares road hazard information among smart phones by an ad hoc network. Our system estimates the locations and the types of hazards by a distributed cooperation approach among smart phones. Cyclists can share all the hazard information sensed by each bicycle without any specially-designed servers on a system that is only composed of a single smart phone application. Our prototype evaluation shows that cyclists can identify safe roads using shared hazard maps to enjoy comfortable outings.
