Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In OFDM systems, channel shortening techniques are useful to overcome inter-block interference caused by the delayed waves that exceed cyclic prefix length. In direct conversion receivers, IQ imbalance in analog circuits cause serious performance degradation. In this article, we discuss the impact of both frequency-independent and frequency-selective IQ imbalances on the interference suppression capability of a channel shortening method. It is shown through both theory and simulations that the channel shortening method can suppress inter-block interference perfectly even in the presence of IQ imbalances.
