Evaluation of isometric muscle contraction by simultaneous measurement of displacement-MMG and EMG

Abstract(in English) In order to evaluate the contractile function of the muscle, it is necessary to measure the MMG and EMG signals simultaneously which are input and output for muscle contraction, respectively. In this study, we proposed a new evaluation method of isometric contractile function of the quadriceps muscle using the MMG / EMG hybrid sensor that can measure the MMG and EMG simultaneously. From the two types of isometric contraction which subjects performed, it has become possible to evaluate input and output signals for the muscle contraction numerically and independently. We also proposed an index that can estimate the muscle fatigue.
