Abstract(in English) Multiple frequency bands are used for mobile communication systems. Current mobile terminals are equipped with multiple radio circuits that cover the entire frequency bands and select one of them for communication. In order to make efficient use of frequency spectrum, reconfigurable RF circuits will be necessary that are able to flexibly change many frequency bands. Furthermore, miniaturization of the reconfigurable RF circuits is necessary for mobile devices to achieve lower cost and portability. This paper proposes a two-stage three-bit reconfigurable band-pass filter (BPF) consisting of all lumped elements. It is designed to cover frequency range from 2 to 3 GHz. The AXIEM EM simulator was used for the simulation and analysis, including element sensitivity analysis. A prototype circuit was fabricated with 1005-size chip components. Although it has a little difference in frequency characteristics, measured performances are close to the design results. The circuit area occupied by the lumped elements is less than 40 % comparing with the conventional configuration using transmission lines.
