Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is a technique to share encryption keys between two adjacent nodes in an unconditionally secure manner based on quantum theory. From the viewpoint of network system development, the QKD is considered as a building block to provide secure link communication in network systems. The QKD technique enables to build a secure network which exchanges encryption keys between two arbitrary nodes on the network. However, a straightforward introduction of routing function into the network causes two issues: (1) it is difficult to operate two kinds of network (encrypted network and unencrypted network) simultaneously, and (2) control packets for the routing protocol consumes some extra encryption keys. This paper proposes a new deployment method of routing protocol suitable for the network based on the QKD which enables coexistence of encrypted network and unencrypted network and consumes no extra encryption keys.
