Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To deploy wireless sensor networks to real fields, reliability and power consumption are major concerns. Toward this, we present design and evaluation of Choco, which completely removes routing mechanisms by using concurrent transmissions. Choco employs a slot scheduler and power saving mechanism, and all communications are conducted with concurrent transmissions. Since sensor nodes with Choco can perform bidirectional communication, nodes can achieve end-to-end reliability. Through an experiment using 250 sensor nodes deployed in two research buildings, we show the applicability of Choco to a large-scale wireless network.
