Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, a non-contact evaluation method using the standing wave coaxial tube method is discussed for testing the PIM performance of a coaxial cable with mated coaxial connectors. Our objective is to distinguish the PIMs generated in the inner conductor from the outer conductor. To achieve that, a simplified evaluation model is introduced for FDTD simulation and experiments, where the length of the coaxial line is limited as about half- or quarter-wavelength for measurement frequencies. The PIM produced from the inner- or outer-conductors is simulated and compared with the measurements in the 2GHz Band under the assumption that the mated connectors is only a PIM source.
