Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose an image retrieval system for handwritten Japanese historical documents. In this system, image data is stored together with feature graphs (document graph) which express structural information of characters written to each line of the image data. Structural information of a search string is specified by a feature graph (search graph). Images of historical documents of which partial region is similar to the search string are retrieved by obtaining a document graph with a similar subgraph to the search graph. To obtain document graph, in addition to the search graph, indispensable graph must be specified. The graph shows an indispensable structure which should be included in search results. |
