Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Okinawa is a passage area of the typhoons, and August or September is a peak and passes by 1.3 an average of the one. As a typhoon brings about serious damage, it is necessary to disseminate the information about the damage prediction and course prediction of a typhoon to the local area. Every resident needs to have a sense of crisis of "its own body being protected by itself" and "not dying." Because there is a limit in the risk management in self-governing body levels, such as cities, towns and villages. We perform comprehensive information exchange to danger, and it is important that the risk communications are sharing in local residents. Before or after 6:00 a.m. on September 16, 2012, since high sea level overlapped with approach of a typhoon, the flood to the Motobu-cho circumference residence occurred. This paper reports the stricken area map and interview results of an investigation of a Motobu-cho area as a damage situation in the pattern which overlaps this typhoon passage and high sea level.
