Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We are investigating FoodLog which is a multimedia food recording tool and its real use in our daily life. We developed FoodLog for Smartphone, and made it available for public use. Differing from the ordinary text based food recording, smartphone-based FoodLog has a unique feature that it makes use of food images and assists the user to record food via image retrieval. We made user study to compare FoodLog with/without image assistance. In the user study, we recruited 18 university students and they used the tools for one month. We made subjective and quantitative comparisons.
