A Study of Hysteresis Relaxation Oscillator Driven by a Periodic Square Wave

Abstract(in English) In order to clarify synchronization phenomena, we analyze a relaxation oscillator which contains a hysteresis element. The oscillator is based on a human sleep-awakening model. In this article, we analyze the hysteresis relaxation oscillator in which threshold is driven by a periodic square wave as an external force. Some previous works have clarified that the system generates various periodic and quasi-periodic attractors. The co-existence region of the attractors have been analyzed. Also, the influence of the parameters on the characteristic of the attractors have been analyzed In some cases. However, the theoretical analysis of the behavior of the hysteresis relaxation oscillator is not sufficient. In this article, we focus on the period and the amplitude of the external force. We will clarify the relationship between the external force and the synchronization patterns by using the numerical simulations. Also, we will analyze the influence of the parameters on the characteristic of the attractors.
