Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Common-noise-induced synchronization (CNIS) has been a hot topic recently because of its relevance in nonlinear physics and related areas. Its universality in nature has been theoretically predicted but supported with only little experimental evidence. Here we demonstrate experimentally that by injecting common broadband optical noise into two uncoupled lasers, the phases of the respective laser oscillations can be synchronized. This is the first experimental demonstration of CNIS in phase dynamics of optical systems, giving evidence for its universality.
