Abstract(in English) One of the methods of sharing resources on the cloud computing is virtual block level storages. Although that technology can provide many users data storages by virtualizing shared physical resources, many users access the same physical device frequently. Therefore, we select backend storage carefully. One is depending performance of centralized storage, The other is load balancing using distributed storages (e.g. iSCSI). However, distributed storages have some problems of I/O throughput, network traffic and the bias of backend storage scheduling. This paper discusses the way to load balancing by the scheduling backend storage with Cinder for OpenStack, iSCSI and LVM.
