Abstract(in English) | While enhancing the intensity or saturation component for high-quality color enhancement, keeping the hue component unchanged is important; thus, perceptual color models such as HSI and HSV were used. Hue-Saturation-Intensity (HSI) is a public color model, and many color applications are commonly based on this model. However, the transformation form HSI model to RGB model usually generates the gamut problem after processing intensity and saturation in the HSI model, because, the gamut of HSI model is larger than that of RGB model. Howeverthe agreement degree of the gamut of two color models is high to a middle value of the intensity. In this paper, we clear a new color image processing scheme in HSI model. In the case of proposed scheme, the positive processing and positive negative inversion processing are performed in parallel. The high and low relations of intensity are reversed between the positive processing and the positive negative inversion processing. If the intensity value until middle, we choose the positive processing result as the final output of our processing scheme. On the other hand, if the intensity value is more than middle value, the result of positive negative inversion processing is chosen as the final output. The effectiveness of proposed scheme is shown through enhancement results. |
