A Wristwatch-shaped Braille Display which Realizes Safe Mobile Access of the Visually Impaired

Abstract(in English) It is expected a way to receive information for blind people whereever. It is imposible to realize existing user interface using voice output so we are developing a wristwatch style braille display. This braille display has 8 braille cells and 15 input switches. It is controlled from a host computer via the Bluetooth communication protocol. A controlling software which is executed on a host computer is developed simultaneously. Twitter messages are targeted as information which is browsed with this braille display. Methods to abbreviate such messages are inquired and analysed resulting abbreviation.
