| 抄録(和) | 日常生活を豊かにし文化的な活動を行う上で,映画やテレビの存在は欠かせない.しかし,加速する超高齢社会を背景に様々な身体特性を有する人々(聴覚障害や視覚障害等)が増加する中で,これらの人々の日常生活を豊かにする手段の一つである映像コンテンツを鑑賞できるシステムは充分に整備されているとはいえない.本研究では,聴覚障害者の映画鑑賞の実際を映像製作者や字幕制作者に伝え,字幕制作の環境を見直すことを目的に,映画製作者や字幕制作者,および,ろう者や難聴者に対する調査を実施した.その結果,映画製作者の聴覚障害者対象字幕への理解や興味が少しずつ高まっている現状を把握することができた.聴覚障害者にとっては,特に字幕未対応により映画館での邦画鑑賞の機会を逸している現状を数値的に確認された.しかしその一方で,字幕付与による邦画鑑賞意欲の向上や,環境音や効果音や音楽字幕付与による映画鑑賞意欲の向上など,字幕に対する期待の高さも見える結果となった.本研究ではさらに聴覚障害者が求める字幕の詳細についても調査を実施し,ろう者と難聴者に共通で観られた特徴としての音楽の歌詞の字幕化への要望の高さだけでなく,難聴者でのみ得られた特徴として音源の字幕化への要望も得ることができた. |
| 抄録(英) | Audio and visual media play a crucial role in our daily lives-not only in securing information, but also in our cultural lives. However, subtitling and equipment of presenting subtitles for hearing-impaired people to enjoy them are insufficient. In this study, the questionnaire and interview researches were conducted with film producers, directors, subtitle creators, deaf and hard-of-hearing people to compare the current conditions of them with regard to subtitles and to consider the issues surrounding subtitling essential for realizing new media experiences. From results, with regard to the creation of subtitles for the hearing-impaired people (which at present cannot be expected to bring much profit from a business perspective), it became clear that some producers of films and televisions, in addition to understanding the significance and the enjoyment of subtitles, are also eager to know their societal effects. Moreover, it was suggested that deaf and hard-of-hearing people, in the same manner as hearing people, do visit movie theaters and enjoy watching movies at movie theaters. Despite their losing opportunities to enjoy Japanese films in the movie theaters, the high expectations of people with hearing impairment for subtitles were revealed. |
