Abstract(in English) | The purpose of this study is to develop an input interface for severely disabled people with limited limbs movement. The developed system recognizes the user's thumb movements via a web camera, and converts the movements into input operations to a personal computer. The system can adapt to different users whose levels of disability are varied, and to diverse environments. A movement recognition algorithm, which detects markers by a combination of features, such as colors and shapes, was proposed. Recognition algorithms were compared in order to improve marker detection accuracy and processing speed. As a result, it was shown that the proposed algorithm can detect markers with a high level of accuracy by introducing a parameter of circularity. |
