Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There are blind about 30 million people in Japan. Currently, blind people are required to acquire IT skills including computer operations to live independently and work. To this end, Tokyo Independent Living Support Center for the Visually Impaired offers training for various IT skills including typing, word processing, spreadsheet, and writing electronic medical records. A system for supporting educational programs for the blind by using LMS (Learning Management System) has been designed by us. With the use of this system, blind people can save and store their learning documents, and their supporters can give suitable advice to trainees. As well, it makes it possible to have training programs at home or in remote locations. This paper describes ways in which to support learning about electronic medical record system technology and training software for touch typing.
