Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A key issue that needs to be solved for making the Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) a reality is how to manage and control overall NFV system to ensure required service levels. In NFV environment, a centralized component named NFV Management and Orchestration does necessary management and controls to build network services. To ensure service levels, estimation of the amount of logical computing and networking resources, assignment of estimated logical resources to actual underlying resources, and proper control of logical and underlying resources are required. In this paper, we summarize potential issues to ensure required service levels in NFV environment. In addition, we propose detailed management and orchestration architecture that solves the issues and show preliminary evaluation result of a proof-of-concept implementation.
