Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The message deliveries based on the store-carry-forward routing schemes are one of useful methods for communicating under DTN environments. However, these methods commonly have their own limitations in scalability, because the propagation delay of message between source and destination nodes generally becomes longer as the distance to the destination increases, and that even the reachability decreases. To overcome these problems, the Virtual Segment (VS) method was proposed, which combines a store-carry-forward routing scheme and a wired/wireless high-speed network connecting all base nodes (BN) located on the area. This can improve the reachability and solve the scalability problem. In this paper, we propose two heuristic algorithms to solve the problem of deciding the BN location place that influences the performance of the VS method and evaluated the effectiveness of them by simulation based on traffic volume and the use of actual road network topology after great Earthquake. The results showed that the VS method achieved higher successfully delivered ratio and shorter delivered duration, even if the traffic volume is much smaller than an usual one.
