Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cache network is one of the promising approaches for effective content distribution. In-network guiding technique, Breadcrumbs, where content requests are re-directed towards content download direction has been proposed. In Breadcrumbs, content requests are initially forwarded by a location ID and this property enables the Breadcrumbs systems to be deployed gradually. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of partially deployed Breadcrumbs by using 3-Tier topology model. We also propose two deployment strategies, upper-layer-first strategy and lower-layer-first strategy. Our careful evaluation for these two strategies shows that upper-layer-first strategy gives significant improvement of Breadcrumbs performance even with small deployment.
