Abstract(in English) | These days, the demand on searching underwater area with underwater sensor network is increasing. However, compared with terrestrial communication, underwater communication has specific characteristics of low bandwidth, high packet loss rate, and so on. Hence, robust data transfer needs to be realized while limiting the number of exchanged packets. We have established an integration method between localization and routing which were discussed separately so far by extending control packets exchanged for localization while suppressing the number of control packets. Moreover, we have enhanced the robustness of routing by specifying strict data packet forwarding rules to the sink successfully and constructed an active localization in which each sensor node actively starts localization process exploiting surrounding environment of nodes. In this paper, we furthermore propose new method; localization and routing are integrated also with Hop-by-hop data transfer, where location information is updated in parallel with data transfer and next hop is adaptively changed by using overheard information. As a result, data gathering rate at a sink is enhanced while keeping the number of transferred data packets low. Finally, we show the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulation. |
