Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Services in the internet, such as SNS (Social Networking Service), generate huge scale traffic. Its volume varies with time. Especially, its volume extremely changes at disaster and events. Thus, network resource management suitable for these burst traffic is required. OpenFlow is an emerging method for controlling network resources. In this paper, we propose a method for controlling network resources according to dynamically changing traffic using OpenFlow. With the method, network resource usages are monitored and the OpenFlow controller dynamically switches routes for connections based on the monitored traffic. Then, we present performance evaluation of our method and show that the proposed method can improve performance and fairness.
