Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In long fat networks, behavior of TCP congestion controlling algorithms has large effect on communication performance. With TCP Reno, which is a classical TCP algorithm, enough performance cannot be obtained in recent networks. For this issue, many TCP algorithms have been proposed. In Linux OS, CUBIC TCP is implemented and used as the default TCP algorithm. In this paper, we have focused on RTT fairness of CUBIC TCP. First, we have evaluated RTT fairness of CUBIC TCP and have demonstrated that it is not good enough. Second, we have proposed a method for improving RTT fairness based on K of CUBIC TCP, which is a congestion windows size recovery time from a packet loss. Third, we have evaluated the proposed method and have demonstrated that our proposed method have been able to improve RTT fairness.
