Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, fast failure recovery is an important issue in communication networks because a lot of users utilize communication networks. Moreover, the energy consumption increases as the amount of traffic becomes large, and hence it is expected to reduce the energy consumption. In this paper, we propose a fast failure recovery with multiple routing configurations in order to perform the fast failure recovery and the reduce energy consumption for communication networks. This method, in addition to the network that is commonly used, multiple routing configurations, which are used when a failure occurs, are utilized. With the routing configurations, the fast failure recovery can be performed as is the case with a Multiple Routing Configuration (MRC) method. Moreover, the number of used links is reduced and the power consumption can be reduced by turning the unused links off. An algorithm that selects the unused link is used. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method in some kinds of network topologies and investigate the effectiveness of the proposed method for the low energy consumption.
