Robustness Evaluation and Topology Design Based on Amount of Traffic for Virtual Network Construction

Abstract(in English) In this paper, in order to realize virtual network construction by considering the amount of traffic, we propose a new robustness evaluation method and a topology design method. In the robustness evaluation method for a virtual network, we evaluate the robustness of a virtual network by considering the amount of traffic and the amount of network resources. In the topology design method, on the other hand, a service provider designs a topology of virtual network that includes all requested nodes by using Dijkstra algorithm and Prim's MST algorithm when the service provider receives a user's request. Then, the service provider allocates a certain amount of resources to the topology of a virtual network. If the topology of a virtual network can satisfy the robustness requirement, the virtual network is provided with the user. If the requirement cannot be satisfied, a certain amount of resources is allocated to the virtual network until the topology of a virtual network can satisfy the robustness requirement. We evaluate the performances of the two proposed methods, and we investigate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
